We love to add an extra hint of nutty-ness to our pesto by first toasting the pine nuts. We add incredibly high-quality, organic extra virgin olive oil, aged pecorino romano, and peak-season (organic) basil for a summertime classic.

Be traditional and toss this pesto with your favorite pasta, but don’t let that limit you! Think: on homemade pizza instead of red sauce, tossed with our perfectly cooked shredded sous vide chicken, spread on sandwiches, make green eggs, use as a condiment with roasted or grilled veggies and meat…the options are endless!

To use on pasta: reserve some of the well-salted cooking water from your pasta before draining. Add a few tablespoons at a time to the pasta when you toss it with the pesto, until you reach the desired consistency. (Here’s a fun article about adding pesto to pasta.)

Serving size
Large is 1 cup (perfect for saucing about 1 lb of pasta)
Small is 1/2 cup (perfect for about 1/2 lb of pasta)

To thaw
Fridge:
Remove from packaging and place in a small bowl. Cover and let thaw in the fridge overnight. Stir well before serving.
Countertop:
Remove from packaging and place in a small bowl. Cover and let thaw on the counter for few hours. Stir well before serving.
Microwave:
Remove from packaging and place in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Use the defrost setting for 90 seconds, then continue to heat in 30 second increments, stirring often. Stir well before serving.
