"Fancy" Pork Chili

Heads up: this batch is a little spicier than normal! I would say it’s medium-spicy…

Our famous pork chili has a hint of smoky spice from chipotle peppers. We use hormone-free pork shoulder and bacon, Rancho Gordo heirloom beans, and a slew of organic vegetables to create a dish that the entire family will love.

We love to serve it with cornbread and let everyone customize their own bowl with smoked cheddar, sour cream, cilantro, lime wedges, and hot sauce. But it would also be terrific over rice, on tortillas, or with mashed potatoes!

Serving size
Small size makes one generous serving of chili but can feed 2 people with cornbread, rice, or as tacos.
Large size makes two generous servings of chili but can feed 3-4 people with cornbread, rice, or as tacos.

To heat
We recommend placing the frozen contents in a microwave-safe bowl to thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Once thawed, you can gently reheat in the microwave or transfer to a pot and heat over medium-low heat on the stovetop.
But if you can’t do that (let’s be honest, we rarely plan that far ahead):
Microwave: Place the frozen contents in a microwave-safe bowl and cover. Use the defrost setting for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until warmed through.
Stovetop: Place the frozen contents in a small pot or pan with a few tablespoons of water. Cover and heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through (about 5-10 minutes).

All-natural pork shoulder, organic chicken stock, all-natural bacon, assorted Rancho Gordo beans, crushed tomatoes, Calicraft Brewing Co Oaktown Brown Ale, red bell pepper, organic onion, organic jalapeno pepper, extra virgin olive oil, chipotle peppers in adobo, garlic, spices (cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon), sea salt, black pepper.
